Beginning Again: Creative Renewal Through Art Therapy

There are seasons in life when we need to begin again.

Inspired by Julia Cameron’s It’s Never Too Late To Begin Again, this art therapy workshop offers a guided space to reconnect with your creativity, restore your sense of possibility, and honour where you are in your journey.

Through art-making, reflective writing, mindful reflection, and supportive group sharing, participants are invited to explore the beauty of starting anew. These sessions encourage openness, compassion, and trust in the creative process as a pathway toward healing and renewal.

Artistic experience is not required—only a willingness to engage in the creative process, explore, play and listen to your inner voice.

In this workshop, you will:

• Engage in creative exercises that nurture emotional expression and self-awareness
• Reflect on themes of wonder, freedom, connection and purpose from It’s Never Too Late To Begin Again
• Experience the grounding and restorative nature of the art-making process with others
• Increase your sense of clarity, connection, and creative confidence

This group provides a supportive environment for participants to reconnect with their inner artist, release creative blocks, and cultivate new perspectives on growth and change.

Ideal for: This workshop is designed for anyone seeking gentle renewal and creative reconnection. It may be especially meaningful for individuals experiencing life transitions like retirement.

The book: It’s Never Too Late to Begin Again: Discovering Creativity and Meaning at Midlife and Beyond, by Julia Cameron bestselling author of The Artist’s Way. There’s no need to buy the book but it may be supportive for you in this process.

If you aren’t sure if these sessions are right for you or you just want more information, please feel free to reach out to either of the facilitators.
