Yellow Bird Art Therapy

Creative expression to help you heal, learn, and grow.

About

Welcome

Sometimes we need a little help and support to find our way through difficult times. I believe that there is tremendous value in the process of creative exploration to improve our health and well-being. Making art as a part of a healing journey helps to connect deeply with your authentic self and arrive at meaningful insights. These insights guide you through challenges and help you to develop and maintain resilience.

Benefits of art in therapy:

Art as a mirror: Art can reflect our inner selves, our emotions, and our experiences.

Art as a catalyst for change: Art can prompt us to reflect on our lives, challenge our perspectives, and inspire us to make positive changes.

Art as a form of self-discovery: Engaging with art can help us understand ourselves better and connect with our own unique perspectives.

I offer art therapy sessions online and in community group programs that offer support for people on their journey to find fulfillment and joy in their personal and professional lives.

“The art is to remember what touches, moves, stimulates and inspires you, and to use those insights in your own life”

I hold a post-baccalaureate diploma in Art Therapy at the Kutenai Art Therapy Institute.   I received the Janice Souza Award award in 2022, which is given to a student who has made a significant contribution in pioneering the development of art therapy.  This award recognized my work in applying art therapy practices to the field of career development. I am a professional member of the Canadian Art Therapy Association (CATA).
